To deal with the two simultaneous waves of the Delta and Omicron variants, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on December 27, 2021 an adaptation of the health measures in force. These announcements were supplemented by a note from the General Directorate for Higher Education and Professional Integration, on December 29, 2021, which specifies the aspects concerning higher education and research.

This information has led Sorbonne University to update a number of provisions adopted since the start of the academic year in September 2021.
