The University of Granada and the Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University have created, within the framework of the Arqus European University Alliance, a double international degree in Law that will begin to be offered in the academic year 2021/22. The increasingly close relationship between the universities that are part of the Arqus European University Alliance is leading to new initiatives such as this new joint academic offer, despite not being part of the activities initially planned. There is no doubt that Arqus is acting as a catalyst for a multitude of joint initiatives thanks to the effort and involvement of the different academic communities.
This double degree allows newcomers to the Law Degree to carry out unique international studies in Andalusia and acquire a high degree of training in Spanish, French and European Law.
The coordinator of the new degree and professor in the Department of Constitutional Law of the UGR, Antonio Pérez Miras, highlights the «careful study plan» designed in the double degree, as well as the possibility of combining training both in the Granada university and at Jean Moulin Lyon 3, "one of the most renowned universities in France," says Pérez Miras.
According to the study plan, those selected will study the first two years at the University of Granada and the last two at the Jean Moulin Lyon University 3. By following a cohort model, both the Spanish and French selected (6 students in both cases ) will share their studies in the same group from the first year, which will mean an international academic development from the beginning of the university career. Knowledge of the French language is required (B2 or B1 exceptionally).
The application period will remain open from July 29 until 2:00 p.m. on September 7, 2021.
