France will issue around 70,000 visas completely online to athletes, journalists, and delegations for the Olympic and Paralympic games.

The system has started to operate on January 1, through the France-Visas portal.

Visas through this system will be issued integrated directly into accreditation cards.

France will become the first European Union Member State to make the application procedures for a French Schengen Visa completely online, and issue digital visas to around 70,000 applicants who will be participating in the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
